SCRIPT

SCENE ONE

INT. HOSPITAL BEDROOM. DAY

Fade In-

               Cara laying on a hospital bed, a heartbeat monitor is beeping in the background

00:03 sec, Cara voice over

Camera- Overhead- moves over Cara, once reaching her face zooms in. Cuts to a static close up of a tear rolling down her face.

              

00:03 Cara (V.O)

If you told me that this (.) would have happened a year ago (2) I wouldn’t have believed you.

By the end of Cara Voice over, camera is on last frame in SCENE ONE showing close up of Caras face, a tear falls from her eye.

SCENE TWO

INT. BEDROOM.DAY

Screen fades to white-

                                         shows same girl getting ready for school, making bed, getting ready,                                                                 normal school morning.

Camera- in a static position, which clearly shows her movements. Cuts to shoes, sees Cara putting shoes on, then to when her phone rings

//bedroom is lit with natural bright light, reflects her personality.

When Cara is sitting on her bed, phone rings.  Moves to pick her phone up, phone is beside her.

Cara (on phone)

Hey Kat how are you? *break*

Yes, I’m about to leave

SCENE THREE

INT/EXT.BEDROOM/OUTSIDE HOUSE.DAY

Screen cuts to Daniel in his bedroom, on the phone mid convocation.

Bedroom is lit with natural light but still dark, reflects his persona.

Daniel getting ready for school, pulling jacket on body with bag.

When Daniel starts top talk camera pans out to show his face and torso

Daniel (on phone)

Yep, football tonight? *break*

Good good mate, at lunch? I’ll need that practise. Yes, I’m leaving about now.

Daniel leaves bedroom, walk down his stairs.

Camera is stationary facing the stairs then cuts to the bottom of the stairs, allowing Daniel to walk down them, then follows him to the front door. The camera is a static wide shot, showing Daniel walk out of the house, then a second stationary wide shot positioned in a corner showing him walking out of his house.

SCENE FOUR

EXT.MAIN ROAD.DAY

Camera-

                Stationary, establishing shot.

Cara walks up a pathway next to a main road and crosses the left side // camera cuts // Daniel is crossing over the right side of another main road. Both going to school.

After Daniel walks across main road, camera is stationary and shows Daniel walking up the path on the side of the road he just crossed over to. Camera changes; hand held as it follows in walking down another path separate to the main road.

Camera shows Daniel’s feet walking away from a stationary spot.

SCENE FIVE

EXT. SIDE ROAD.DAY

The camera transitions between Daniels feet walking forwards and Cara’s, this portrays that both of the people have the same drive; forwards.

Camera-

                Is stationary showing Cara walks past the camera, along a side road surrounded by                   old houses.

                Is stationary and Cara is walking along the side of a wall, camera is parallel to Cara walking forwards.

Daniel is now walking down a similar side road to school, appears that the two will meet but they don’t.

Camera-

                Is stationary, shows Daniel walking down a road until he walks round the corner, cuts to him walking round the corner.

The film is nonlinear, within this scene the editing will cut between these shots, breaking up the single route of just one person going to school.

SCENE SIX

EXT. MAINROAD/SCHOOL.DAY

In this scene Daniel crosses over the main road and makes his way over to school, Cara eventually making it there.

Camera-

                Stationary, wide shot as Daniel walks across the main road. Changes to hand held, following behind him, behind POV shot.

                Is a hand held, close up of Cara reaching for the door handle, reaches for door handle, opens door and walks through the door down a corridor.

Camera, wide shot, showing Daniel walking down the corridor, he walks past the camera, cuts to Cara walking forwards, Daniel coming the other way- camera is hand held steady, a slight over the shoulder/wide shot, showing Daniel walking the opposite way.

SCENE SEVEN

INT. ROOM. DAY/NIGHT NOT MENTIONED

Cara and Daniel are sharing a kiss, sitting opposite each other, memory.

Camera-

                Camera is stationary facing Cara and Daniel sat on a bed, sharing memories.

THROUGHOUT THE EDITING, CLIPS OF ‘MEMORIES’ BETWEEN THE TWO (CARA AND DANIEL) WILL BE USED TO BREAK UP THE LINEAR STORYLINE.

BWTEEN THE FIRST FEW CLIPS, THEY WILL TRANSITION THROUGH BLACK THEN BACK TO ANOTHER SCENE, THIS SOFTLY BREAKS UP THE CLIPS. MUSIC WILL BE OVERLAYED ONTOP OF THE FILM, STARTING BEFORE THE CLIPS PLAY, AND THE OPOTUNITY OF CREDITS AND TITLE APPEARE ON SCREEN.
